The Special Couple: Claire + James

THE FIRST SIGHT

We matched on Tinder in August 2015 but never met until October. James spoke about politics for the first hour as he was so nervous (which I didn't know anything about). After we both relaxed, we decided to have dinner, followed by a walk around Sydney harbour. We had our first kiss just above Opera bar, with fireworks going off at that very moment. It was very romantic!

THE PROPOSAL 

James had rung me on my way home from work and asked if I would be having my manicure. He told me he had written me a letter (which he often does) and a parcel for me had arrived. When I got home he asked me to sit on the lounge with him, when I began reading the letter I got teary and said "oh this is the most beautiful letter you have ever written", and he asked me to keep reading. Once I got to the bottom, it said, "I can only hope you feel the same way I do". When I looked up, he was on one knee with a huge grin!

THE INSPIRATION & VENUE

The theme for our wedding was ethereal and magical. I have always been really feminine and wanted a wedding that felt like something out of a movie. To compliment the theme, I chose an outfit which had clean lines and simpleness that I've always loved. Everything was just perfect.

THE BRIDAL LOOK & SAYING 'YES' TO THE DRESS

Eternal Bridal Sydney boutique is the only shop I visited. I tried on approximately five dresses but immediately knew when I put on Marley by Enzoani! I was lucky enough to have Katherine as my Eternal Bridal stylist, who made my bridal experience! I had tried a different gown on and wasn't 100% sure. Marley was pulled out of the row of white dresses; I stepped into the dress, and Katherine zipped me in. It fits like a glove. When I revealed the dress to my Mum and maid of honour, Celeste, I knew this was it. I felt like a bride, and the dress just felt like me. It was perfect!

THE BEST THING ABOUT OUR DAY 

The highlight of my day was hearing James say 'I do', I remember jumping up and down when he said it!

CLAIRE'S ADVICE 

Live in the moment, it is the most special moment to be in. Don't let the little things take you out of the moment!
