REAL BRIDE MAGDALENA SAYS "I DO" IN GALIA LAHAV

On the 18th May 2024, EB Real Bride Magdalena said “I do” to her best friend and love of her life. We sat down with Magdalena to learn all about her now-husband’s swoon-worthy proposal, why she styled her entire wedding reception around red roses, and the moment she said ‘yes’ to the sparkliest Galia Lahav wedding dress.

Let’s go back to where it all began. When and how did you meet your significant other?

I met my husband (I love saying that haha) firstly as a friend however as time went on we realised that there was much more yet to be discovered!

How did your now-husband propose?

He took me for a ‘last minute’ getaway to Gerringong, where we stayed at the beautiful luxury estate, Dovecoat. We went to dinner and on the way home, was curious to see if I could walk down the small hill heading to our accommodation in my heels. Me (clearly not taking the hint) took my heels off and put my Nike slides on.. well as soon as I stepped into the room I saw the Will You Marry Me sign and turned around and saw him on one knee. Wow, he put so much effort in, even made me a memory book!

Was there a theme for your wedding? What inspired you while styling your dream day?

Yes, red roses! My husband (boyfriend and fiance then) would randomly buy me red roses and I used to love taking pictures of them. I wanted to incorporate this symbol of our relationship throughout our special day. I also really wanted white accents and draping. Jimket was our stylist and absolutely knocked my vision out of the water. We were so happy how he captured what was in my mind and totally made it way better than I could imagine!

What was the inspiration behind your bridal look?

If anyone knows me, I love a bit of sparkle! I thought my dress would be the hardest thing but in fact, it was the quickest decision of my wedding journey.

Describe your ‘yes to the dress’ moment. How did you feel and what made you say ‘yes’?

I was there for 4 hours.. Yes, 4 hours! I tried on many different shapes because someone once told me “you never go for your typical style”. However, as soon as I saw my Galia Lahav gown, I fell in love. I made some adjustments to the bottom and extended the trail. I remember when I saw my dress when I came in, I was in absolute AWE! I still go into my old room and look at it.

How was your experience at Eternal Bridal?

The most smoothest, professional and outstanding experience! I always felt super supported, not pressured and always felt like a princess every time I visited the store.

What was the highlight of your special day?

Dancing the night away with the love of my life. I was surprisingly very calm from the morning until the night - no nerves, just amazing vibes.

If you could go back in time and give your newly-engaged self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Don’t get so caught up on the seating arrangements!
