The annual flocking of top bridal buyers have been set in motion, marking another round of Bridal Markets in New York. This time, Galia Lahav team takes us on a journey through familiar drama and precious childhood stories with their latest styles of Galia Lahav Haute Couture and GALA by Galia Lahav (ready to wear) bridal collection.

With an endless parade of signature, low backs, sheer skirts, body-hugging Galia Lahav Silhouettes embellished in custom lacework, hand beading and endless sparkling drama; we are privileged to be introduced to the concepts behind these two unique collections.

Cue lights, cue camera and make it a scene to remember! New York City, home to the famous Broadway Theatre! A place where musical talent soars across the stage and magically retells untold tales through serenading their audience. Framed by carefully raised red velvet and under the bright spotlights, the stories and it's tellers come alive to repaint worlds of possible impossibilities. It is the emotional impact of such an environment; the inspiration of Galia Lahav's new collection is born.

Heavily inspired by the musical "Dream Girls" and the self-love, confidence, and boldness of rising stars behind each stage and screen queens, this haute couture collection celebrates the blossoming of a young woman finding her way and individual voice in the world. In a way, it is seen, in the Galia Lahav design team's eyes, as a similar "process a bride herself goes through for her wedding, her independence and what the dress means to her when she puts it on."

Alice in Wonderland. A trip down this rabbit hole and you will find untamed gardens with hidden glamour and characters that evoke endless imagination. Combine this with a historical reference of Edwardian fairy tale heroines and a dash of Tim Burton's stylistic approach to fashion and film then you have the building blocks of the GALA Collection No. VIII.

"Whimsical, Incredible, Unexpected" are the three elements the Galia Lahav design team must infuse into each style of this series. With it, they hope to " give the bride an alternative to the obvious with trendy but classic and elegant moods all in one collection." With an endless array of finely patterned bead work, exaggerated sleeves and bold design lines mixed with endless weaves of silk white, ivory and pale pink, gold and nudes, this collection is sure to take you into the surreal world of Alice.
