ETERNAL BRIDAL REAL BRIDE YVETTE WEDS IN ENZOANI
Posted by Annie Lu onThe Special Couple: Yvette & Alex
THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL
Alex and I met through a mutual friend, my best friend and bridesmaid. After trying three times to plan a romantic proposal, COVID kept dashing Alex's plan. It took a small break in the restrictions for Alex's opportunity to open up! We took a weekend away to where Alex first confessed his love during our dating years. As a distraction for what would come later, he hired a boat to take us to a remote island with a picnic. As I went to freshen up from our island picnic back at our hotel room, Alex laid out the pre-hidden candles and music and dropped to one knee on our water-front balcony. Of course, I said "yes," and the rest is history!
THE INSPIRATION & VENUE
I knew I wanted my Eternal Bridal wedding dress to pop and be the star, so we started looking for something modern, classy, and simple. Having just one theme or style for our wedding was difficult as I love so many different decor styles. However, the venue was so modern and a blank canvas that it only needed small, subtle details to complete the look I wanted. I chose Baby's-breath for softness, cappuccino roses for romance and greenery for a bit of pop so it matched the dresses my bridesmaids wore.
THE BRIDAL LOOK & SAYING "YES" TO THE DRESS
I wanted my overall bridal look to be elegant, mermaid and beachy. My Eternal Bridal wedding dress shopping experience was in the middle of covid. After choosing dresses off the EB website, I brought my mum and sister to the store. I entered the store with my online dresses in mind and tried on all the dresses. Sadly, none made me feel like a queen, and none quite hit the mark. Then my Eternal Bridal stylist suggested a dress she thought would suit my figure. I slipped on the gown and could not stop looking in the mirror at myself, grinning. I was nervous about opening the curtain to show my mother and sister. But when I did show them, my mother and sister cried. I never wanted to take the dress off; I felt amazing and beautiful like a bride should wear a wedding dress. The shop assistant got us champagne and helped me see the dress from all angles. It was a fairytale moment.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR DAY
The highlight for us would be seeing the happiness radiate from of all the favourite people in our lives. The love was infectious that day and everyone was just so happy for us.
YVETTE'S WEDDING ADVICE
Stick with doing what you've always wanted and dreamt of for your wedding day. Everything is possible and just enjoy the processes leading up to the big day.
