The Special Couple: Zoe + Sam

Wedding Date: 3rd November 2019

THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL

Sam and I met at a mutual friend's 21st birthday party. Unfortunately, I had to leave the party early. But before I left, I made sure he got my number. Once he got my number, we spoke till early morning and have been inseparable ever since. 

For our proposal, I've always told Sam that I wanted something very intimate between us. He knows I love Christmas and we had our whole family joining us for Christmas back in 2018. He locked in a date on my Christmas calendar and organised with my work to have the whole day off. He popped the question on 20th of December and we had a brunch with my family and his sister to celebrate!

THE INSPIRATION & VENUE

We had a rough idea on a theme but nothing too dramatic, as both of us mainly just wanted our wedding day and look to represent us and our style. We wanted something minimalistic with a lot of white florals, with a touch of industrial theme but at the same time incorporating a bit of warmth with candles. We were so glad our vendors did such an incredible job with bringing our vision to life. 

THE DRESS

For my every day wardrobe style, I tend to wear mostly very structured outfits so I wanted to go something a little different from that which had more feminine touches but still remained classic over time with my wedding dress. I actually brought my dress during my first wedding dress fitting session that I did at Eternal Bridal's Sydney boutique. I know it sounds very cliche but I did get that bridal ‘feeling’ when I tried it on. I think the reason I picked my gown was for the train and the low back. It’s very different from what I would ever normally wear and it was timelessly classic.

 

THE BEST THING ABOUT OUR DAY

If I had to choose one highlight, it has to be the moment when I'm walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing everyone who means so much to us all in one place celebrating our marriage. I’m a very sentimental person and the whole day was a highlight in itself and we cannot fault it.

ZOE'S ADVICE

My best advice to bride-to-bes what are planning their own special day would be just take everything as it comes. Your wedding day is the most special day so don’t focus on the little things. Focus instead on the best day of your life and just enjoy the whole process.

ZOE'S ETERNAL BRIDAL EXPERIENCE

I tried on a lot of dresses during my Eternal Bridal in store styling session. Their bridal stylist Brooke at the Sydney boutique was so supportive with listening to what I wanted but she also made sure I tried on lots of different styles and types of dresses so I knew exactly what I wanted. 

It was honestly an amazing experience we had. I had my Mum, Mum’s best friend and Sister in Law with me for my appointment. The second I showed them my dress, I just felt so special and they all burst into tears. My experience was so special and truely made me feel incredible.
