REAL BRIDE SARA MARRIES IN LE LEE STUDIO

On October 26th, high school sweethearts, Sara and George exchange vows in front of their closest family and friends. We spoke with our Melbourne Real Bride Sara about the inspiration behind her romantic Spring wedding, what made her say ‘yes’ to the Livia gown by Le Lee Studio, and why she believes you shouldn’t compare your wedding to others.

Let’s go back to where it all began. When and how did you meet your significant other?

We met in year 8 at high school, we were in the same homeroom. We became high school sweethearts, and the rest is history!

How did your now-husband propose?

We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and so he booked a room in Daylesford for the weekend. He popped a bottle of wine in front of a fire, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I, of course, said yes!

Was there a theme for your wedding? What inspired you while styling your dream day?

We went for a modern and romantic theme. We wanted the room to be intimate and full of natural floral colours and textures. The venue, Leonda, had big beautiful windows that allowed lots of natural light to stream through in the afternoon/evening, so we wanted this to be the centre piece of the room.

What was the inspiration behind your bridal look?

I wanted to stick with our theme and have a gown that was romantic but also grand. I loved the embroidered flowers throughout the ‘Livia’ gown by Le Lee Studio which was a specific detail I was looking for when shopping for my dream dress.

Describe your ‘yes to the dress’ moment. How did you feel and what made you say ‘yes’?

I was with my mum and we stumbled across ‘Livia’ and I fell in love instantly with both the dress and matching double tier veil. It was a perfect match and I was so happy with how I felt in it. The structure and the way ‘Livia’ sat on my body was too good to pass up.

How was your experience at Eternal Bridal?

Ferani at Eternal Bridal Melbourne was so accommodating. I had the best experience with her and the Eternal Bridal team, plus their service and communication was very thorough and helpful.

What was the highlight of your special day?

Definitely our ceremony, George and I exchanged vows in front of our family and friends and this was something very special for us.

If you could go back in time and give your newly-engaged self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Enjoy the wedding planning, take it all in, and don’t compare your wedding to others; it’ll do your head in. Fill your wedding with only things you and your partner want and will remember for many years to come.
