REAL BRIDE MELANIE MARRIES IN GALA BY GALIA LAHAV

THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL
David and I met through mutual friends about six years ago.
In March 2017 David decided he was going to pop the question. He planned to surprise me with a hot air balloon ride in the Yarra Valley, and the weather played a big part in not letting it happen. Finally, a day came when the weather was going to be perfect, so David begged my bosses to give me a day off work as this was his chance to go ahead with his plans finally. The morning came, and I had no idea what he had in store. We got to the Yarra Valley very early I might add and found we were going on a hot air balloon ride! As the balloon was getting blown up, written on it in large letters for the whole world to see was the words "will you marry me?" was the most incredible moment of my life! We enjoyed an amazing balloon ride watching the sunrise.
THE INSPIRATION
The theme for our wedding was rustic but still an elegant feel to it. What inspired us was the feeling you get when you go to a winery. It has that warm and cozy feel to it, and that's what we wanted to achieve with our wedding.
HER SAY "YES" TO THE DRESS MOMENT
I always knew I wanted a Galia Lahav wedding gown. So when my appointment came to try on her dresses, I tried on roughly four dresses before the perfect one came along. What stood out was how the dress just sat on me perfectly. I loved the shape of the train it finished off as an almond shape rather than the usual round shape you would see and also the lace was just gorgeous was so elegant and soft and as soon as I put it on I just knew it was the one!
The feeling was incredible. I had some family with me, so the happy tears came out, and I was excited! I couldn't wait to get married! Eternal Bridal were amazing; they never made me feel like I was just another bride they were so professional and you could see that the team enjoy what they do. They get just as excited as you do!
THE BEST THING ABOUT OUR DAY
The highlight of our day was getting our photos captured with our bridal party. We had so much fun, and it's a time that we always seem to talk about when we get together.
MELANIE'S ADVICE
My advice would be enjoy every moment in planning your wedding, allow yourself time and try not to rush into decisions, so when the day comes, you can rely on all your suppliers while you enjoy your special day.
