REAL BRIDE CAROLINA MARRIES IN GALIA LAHAV FOR HER DESTINATION WEDDING IN ITALY
Posted by Annie Lu onThe Special Couple: Carolina + Koichi
Wedding Date: Aug 2018
THE FIRST SIGHT
I met Koichi through work. I guess this is the simple way to put it. I recruit in the architecture space and he is a well-known architect in Australia. I tried to meet him for almost 2 years as his architecture inspired by nature captured me and I wanted to work with him. Eventually I managed to get through and arranged a meeting. I was over the moon because I really admired him. After the meeting I realised I kept having butterflies in my stomach and it was not about his architecture! Next he invited me out for dinner, so I gave up on working with him...and the rest is history.
THE PROPOSAL
We were on holiday in Santorini and he organised this amazing surprise sunset dinner with the breathtaking backdrop of the Caldera views and harp player. He blindfolded me and once he took it off, he dropped on his knee and proposed! I couldnt stop the tears of joy and all the people walking around the hotel clapping and congratulating us. Everything was so perfect, unforgettable, out of a fairy tale.
THE INSPIRATION
We wanted a wedding in synergy with Nature, as it is a source of inspiration and energy for both of us. Dreamy and whimsical but with a soul.
THE HIGHLIGHT
For us it was definitely the amazing dancing that followed the reception! Once the DJ kicked on literally everyone including my grandma was dancing. I loved the energy and seeing all our families and loved one having the best time!
THE DRESS
When a I was teenager I was often modelling for wedding gowns and after a while, they all felt the same and didn't give me any emotions. So my challenge was to find a dress with a wow factor, different from the standard I wore in the past.
I was beginning my quest looking for the perfect dress when Koichi sent me a picture of a breathtaking gown he found on Instagram. That was it. The gown was the Lily Rose from Galia Lahav Haute Couture. I attended the Galia Lahav trunk show organised by Eternal Bridal and tried on 4 styles plus Lily Rose. The other dresses just confirmed what I've already knew: Lily Rose was the One. A romantic yet risqué gown, a true piece of art. With the floral embroideries, the illusion neckline and blush pink colour made me feel and look like a goddess. Lily Rose is a gown that empowers and celebrates the bride in her Big Day and that's why it was going to be the chosen one.
CAROLINA’S ADVISE

CAROLINA’S ETERNAL BRIDAL EXPERIENCE
The EB team was amazing. From the GL trunk Show hosted in the Shangri-la hotel where I found the dress to the very last fitting to make sure the dress was perfect. They were very helpful and the whole process was seamless. One of my main concerns was the fact that I was already 4 months pregnant when I was trying on the dresses and that the dress will not be able to adapt to my post pregnancy body. Obviously I didn't imagine the wonders that Ivonne the seamstress that did my fittings was able to perform. Every team member had a very high standard of customer care and you can trust them.
