REAL BRIDE JESSICA SAY "I DO" IN ENZOANI
Posted by Annie Lu onThe Special Couple: Jessica + Jeremy
THE FIRST SIGHT
Jeremy and I met online. We started chatting and soon had our first date after a week. It didn't take long for us to find out about our shared passion for food and adventures. From that moment onwards, we have never stopped exploring new dining experiences together, going on exciting trips, and travelling to spectacular destinations. It's been a very adventurous journey!
THE PROPOSAL
Jeremy caught me off guard with his proposal! We were on a trip to Adelaide. It has a very special place in my heart as I lived there in my uni days. We spent a few days revisiting the places I used to go to (that I still love), and on our last night, we went to my favourite restaurant Osteria Oggi. As we returned to our Airbnb, he suggested we go to the Ferris wheel at the end of Glenelg Jetty for a ride. We were the last ones to jump on it before they closed. As I was watching the city lights glimmer beneath us, he suddenly popped the question!
THE INSPIRATION & VENUE
We knew we wanted to have our ceremony at our Church in Darling Point, and as soon as we had confirmed our reception at the Art Gallery of NSW, we had a vision. The idea was to combine earthy tones of sandstone architecture and native florals from the Art Gallery and the gold elements from our church to give a refined modernist look.
THE BRIDAL LOOK
I wasn't too stressed about creating 'the bridal look'. When I decided on the dress, I was sure that look would come together naturally. On the day, we went for a soft glam with a champagne glow to bring out the gold accents of the theme.
SAYING "YES" TO THE DRESS
Before I went into Eternal Bridal in the Strand Arcade, I went to a few places in Paddington, but unfortunately, I didn't fall in love with any of them. I looked at various styles and fabrics online when I came across Eternal Bridal's website and found Naroza, and that wedding dress ticked all of the boxes!
When I came to my first appointment, my Eternal Bridal stylist was courteous and helpful as I went alone. She gave me some great insights and tips on how the dress would fit and how the seamstress would ensure it would be a perfect fit before the wedding. I tried on about three wedding dresses at Eternal Bridal and immediately picked the one I wanted, as I had quite a clear vision of the style. I knew it was the one instantly when I tried it on! A coup de coeur moment!
THE BEST THING ABOUT OUR DAY
There are way too many highlights! I could still feel the excitement when we walked down the aisle one more time alongside our families and church community. The amount of love and support we've received was simply overwhelming! The car ride to the rocks and the opera house for photos, the incredibly stunning weather we had, and how smoothly our dance went! Very grateful for every moment!
JESSICA'S ADVICE
