POWERHOUSE COLLABORATION: GALIA LAHAV HAUTE COUTURE AND FREYA ROSE ON THE NEW YORK RUNWAY
Posted by Annie Lu onDream team Galia Lahav couture house and UK shoe couturier Freya Rose debuted an awe-inspiring collaboration on the New York Bridal Fashion Week runway.
Surrounded by a backdrop of hanging lush greens and cascading floral drapery; guests and media were treated to Galia Lahav’s breathtaking ‘Florence by night’ Haute Couture and ‘Collection No.5’ Ready-to-wear collections.
On the runway Galia Lahav debuted soft dresses constructed of gossamer tulle, fine laces, sparkling embellishments, statement skirts and dramatic necklines. Styled together with the classic clean designs of Freya Rose, each look encapsulated the femininity and individuality of the modern woman.
‘Florence by Night’ collection was inspired by Galia Lahavs “desire to imagine the intangible of the five senses to delve deeper into the world of scents and perfumery, and develop a fascination with the process of selecting each bud, petal, herb and leaf to create the perfect fragrance. Envisioning the invisible leads to fantasy, and visions of a mystical night garden where rare florals bloom and the world’s finest scents come to life slowly evolved.”
To compliment the soft feminine silhouettes for this collection, Freya Rose selected a broad range of shoes styles from her growing Hanami collection. The distinct signature of Freya’s designs of mother of pearl heels, brass or sterling silver highlights and fresh water pearl details elevates Galia’s designs to a new level of refined sophistication.
This runway collaboration is a meeting of the creative minds from both couturiers; it celebrates each bride’s personality and style through the use of immaculate details, empowering shapes and high quality hand crafted creations.
Established in 2010, Freya Rose is an internationally renowned UK shoe couturier.
